This series visualizes today’s consumer society and deals with the subject of waste, especially plastic waste. Based on the classic vanitas still lifes, this reinterpretation depicts the contrast between nature and the artificial. Unlilke the historical motifs, plastic waste is not perishable, which is precisely why it is such a burden on our habitat. It is the only thing that will remain of us in the future.
