In this body of work, Michael Bott explores the question of how our future can be protected. The pieces reflect not only the state of a world in flux, but also humanity’s attempt to maintain control amid global crises and inner turmoil. The photographs were printed, deliberately damaged, and then provisionally repaired using everyday craft materials. Tape, stitches, and staples mark the images like desperate attempts to mend fractures that may already run too deep.
