KAYA SCHULZ

WOVEN

Kaya Schulz deals with the relationship between man and nature — a connection that was once taken for granted, but today often seems lost. In photographic stagings, she examines how the human body can connect with and dissolve natural forms or be permeated by them. The boundaries between subject and environment become blurred, body and landscape enter into resonance. The work poses the question of what a new relationship to the environment could look like, beyond exploitation, dominance or alienation. What would happen if we no longer placed ourselves above nature, but understood ourselves as part of it?
