WITH WORKS FROM
Natalia Kepesz, Berlin
Andreas Rost, Berlin

Since 2016, Leander Rubrecht’s gallery in Büdingenstraße has repeatedly shown new groups of works by the artists represented, placing them in an expanded context with curated group exhibitions. In connection with friendly gallery owners, curators and exhibition houses, the gallery program is supplemented with current positions and joint, exciting project ideas.

Two positions will be shown as part of the Photo Days. The series “Niewybuch” by Natalia Kepesz approaches the world of military camps and uniform classes, which have become increasingly popular in Poland in recent years. While obedience and patriotism are indoctrinated and war is practiced here, it is reality in the black-and-white photographs of Andreas Rost. His series, which was taken in Kabul in 2007 and has been shown and awarded many prizes, is still urgently relevant today, because the security situation and also the humanitarian situation have deteriorated drastically since the end of the NATO mission
