»Solid Landscapes«

The video “Solid Landscapes” visualises the relentless expansion of human-shaped functional landscapes by reproducing and multiplying traces of dramatic transformation. The work serves as an allegory for social processes that unfold at an ever-accelerating pace—driven by economic and demographic growth, technological advancement, and an insatiable appetite for consumption. The flight begins over production monocultures, where the invisible goods of the global market are stored in containers, and continues into the deep pits from which the raw materials for their manufacture are extracted. From a bird’s‑eye view, we encounter vast industrial landscapes—ambiguous in their nature. Are they real? Are they imagined? Or are they glimpses of a future Earth taking shape before our eyes?
